The Sailor from Gibraltar

At the moment I am re-reading The Sailor from Gibraltar by Marguerite Duras.

I wanted to re-read this ever since I went to Mission Bay and I recalled the atmosphere of this book.

I didn’t recall much of the plot, but the atmosphere was so potent, so deliciously languid and seductive.

The atmosphere fitted my mood on that day so well.

The seaside resort atmosphere. Drinking by the sea as the sun goes down.
